Another addition to the dumpster fire of their other failures. If the only good things in your Superman movie are the design Metropolis and your title, you know everyone screwed up. It's one of the most awkward and terrible Superman films out there. How is it that a Superman movie melted my brain with it's convoluted logic, bad pacing, terrible transitions, awkward character moments and dialogue, and an ending that would make Roland Emmerich blush? Why does it feel like several scenes were cut straight out of the movie, and they didn't even bother trying to hide it? Why is it that the The Iron Giant is the best Superman movie in recent memory, and it's not even about Superman? These are the questions that nobody is asking. Nobody can seem to come close to getting Superman right anymore. Why are sound effects from the movie Arrival in there (an alien film I'd much rather be watching) Why are plot points suddenly introduced and then dropped just as quickly? Why did Godzilla show up in my Superman movie (which isn't as fun as it sounds) Why is Lobo here and who hired him? Why is Lobo accepting a job and currency that don't benefit him in any way whatsoever? What timeline am I living in where these are the questions I have about Superman movies? Oh, that's right, those questions aren't answered. DC and Warner Brothers animation just want us to shut up and consume said product. I'm so sorry logical questions aren't allowed anymore. What a world we live in where any new Superman film can make Superman 4 look like a masterpiece.
